Since the formation in 1955, Loughton rugby Club has always had a strong playing and social membership base. Today the Club is no different and openly welcomes players of all standards along with their friends and families.
Our ground is at Hornbeam Road in Buckhurst Hill only 5 minutes walk from Roding Valley tube station (central line) and 10 minutes walk from Buckhurst Hill tube station (central line). The club is friendly and inviting with modern playing, training and social facilities.
Training is on WEDNESDAYS starting at 7.15pm. Matches are played on Saturdays with kick off times varying between 2.00pm and 3.00 pm. Our 1st XV play in Essex League 2 and our 2nd XV have regular social fixtures throughout the season. If you haven’t played for a while or if you are new to the game, DON’T WORRY, the 2nd XV is your way back into the game!
Even if you are not a player, becoming a supporter and social member could be for you. It is a fantastic way to meet new people and also enjoy the game from the sidelines with a beer! Social membership of the club is always welcomed and there are regular fundraising and social events throughout the year.
The end of each season culminates in a club tour to a European destination for a cheeky weekend away. In addition, there is our annual dinner & dance and awards evening for all players, friends and family.
So if you are thinking about becoming a playing or social member, come along and sample the Loughton RFC atmosphere! YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!
